Dear Friends.

I wanted to extend my thanks and gratitude to all the supporters, volunteers and donors who played an integral role in this campaign.  Words alone can not express my appreciation to all of you, and I will forever be indebted to each of you for your support.

In the end, the results were not what we were hoping for but I am very proud of the campaign we ran and I have no regrets.  From day one, I pledge to run a positive and optimistic campaign, and I hope that in the end, I was a candidate that you could all be proud of. 

The past two years have been remarkable, I have logged thousands of miles, shook hundreds of hands, and ate enough chowder for a lifetime.  I will never forget the hundreds of individuals I met along the way, and the many friends I have made.

While I have not made any decisions about my future, politics has always been the passion of my life and I plan to stay connected to politics and government in some capacity.

A defeat is never easy but I take comfort in this quote, "Our greatest glory lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
